India vs New Zealand 4th T20I: Team India is preparing for the fourth T20I against New Zealand at Eden Park in Auckland. Before the match, the biggest question is whether wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan will return to the playing XI. He missed the second and third T20Is due to a thigh injury. However, his latest training session has raised hopes of a comeback.

With India already leading the five-match series 3-0, the team management may also consider making changes to the playing XI. Ishan's possible return could put young batter Vaibhav Suryavanshi's place under discussion.

Ishan Kishan Injury Update: Will He Play the 4th T20I?

Ishan Kishan suffered a right thigh muscle strain while fielding during the first T20I against New Zealand. Due to this injury, he missed the second and third matches.

Before the third T20I, India's bowling coach Morne Morkel confirmed that Kishan would not be available for the match. However, the wicketkeeper-batter was recovering well and had started training again.

In the latest development, Ishan Kishan was spotted batting in the nets on Thursday. This is a positive sign for Team India ahead of the fourth T20I. However, the BCCI has not officially confirmed his availability for the match.

His final selection will depend on his fitness assessment and the decision of the team management.

Ishan Kishan's Return: Will Vaibhav Suryavanshi Be Dropped?

If Ishan Kishan returns to the playing XI, young opener Vaibhav Suryavanshi could be affected. Vaibhav got an opportunity in the previous two matches because of Kishan's absence.

The young batter impressed with his aggressive approach and played an explosive innings of 45 runs off just 19 balls in the series. However, he could manage only four runs in the third T20I.

Despite that dismissal, Vaibhav has shown his ability to score quickly against international bowling attacks. His performance could make the selection decision difficult for the Indian team management.

India's Playing XI: Can Abhishek, Samson and Vaibhav Play Together?

India have already taken an unassailable 3-0 lead in the series. Therefore, the team management could experiment with its batting combination in the remaining matches.

One possible option is to include Abhishek Sharma, Sanju Samson and Vaibhav Suryavanshi together in the playing XI.

In the third T20I, Abhishek Sharma and Vaibhav Suryavanshi produced an explosive opening partnership. The duo added 133 runs in just 43 balls.

Abhishek smashed 113 runs off 38 balls, while Vaibhav contributed 45 runs off 19 deliveries. Their explosive partnership helped India secure a six-wicket victory.

Considering their recent performances, dropping either batter may not be an easy decision for the team management.

Kumar Kushagra's Debut: Will India Give Him a Chance?

Wicketkeeper-batter Kumar Kushagra is another option available to the Indian team. He is part of the squad but is still waiting for his international debut.

With the series already decided, India could consider giving him an opportunity in the fourth or fifth T20I. However, his inclusion will depend on the team's combination and selection strategy.
