The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) decided to have the team wear pink jerseys for this ODI match to raise awareness about this grave disease, which is increasingly affecting women, and to encourage timely screening and check-ups.

PCB's Partnership with Pink Ribbon Trust Hospital

To ensure the success of this campaign on a large scale, the PCB has partnered with the 'Pink Ribbon Breast Cancer Trust Hospital.' As part of this collaboration, not only have the players changed their jerseys, but special arrangements have also been made for the fans attending the match at the stadium.
The PCB has made special arrangements to provide free breast cancer screenings for spectators visiting the stadium from October 24 to 26, with the aim of raising awareness about the importance of early detection.
Speaking about this initiative, PCB official Sumair Ahmed Syed stated, "The Pakistan Cricket Board is fully aware of the responsibility that comes with the immense passion for and influence of cricket in our country. Through this 'Pink Ribbon' initiative, we are leveraging the major platform of international cricket to raise awareness about breast cancer and highlight the significance of early detection and timely medical care."
Full Support from England Team and Match Officials
It was not just the Pakistan team that stepped forward for this noble social cause; the opposing team, England, also extended their full support. During the match, England players, on-field match officials, and commentators were seen wearing pink ribbons on their jerseys. Furthermore, the stumps used on the field were pink, and awareness messages regarding breast cancer were continuously displayed on the stadium's large screens and LED advertising boards.
