Team India Starts Training for Zimbabwe T20 Series: The Indian cricket team has arrived in Harare for the upcoming T20 series against Zimbabwe. The first match of this three-game series is scheduled to be played at the Harare Sports Club on July 23. Before taking the field, the Indian players have ramped up their preparations and sweated it out during practice sessions.
Veteran cricketer VVS Laxman is serving as Team India's head coach for this tour. Under Laxman's guidance, the players spent considerable time in the nets. The coach focused primarily on the players' basic techniques, as well as their strike rates and line-and-length bowling, tailored to the demands of the short format.
Team India Practice Session at Harare Sports Club
Upon arriving in Zimbabwe, the Indian team completed its first practice session at the Harare Sports Club. Players who recently competed in the ODI series against England including captain Shreyas Iyer will soon join the squad in Zimbabwe. The initial practice session placed a strong emphasis on player fitness and match readiness.
Special Focus on Fielding Drills
In T20 cricket, catches and run-outs can alter the course of a match; keeping this in mind, coach VVS Laxman placed special emphasis on fielding drills. He was seen personally overseeing the session, guiding players through catching practice and refining their positioning.

Young Guns Sweat It Out in the Nets

The enthusiasm of the team's young players was evident during the practice session:
- Vaibhav Suryavanshi & Abhishek Sharma: Both young players worked hard on their bowling in the nets, in addition to honing their batting skills.
- Rinku Singh: Known for his explosive batting, Rinku Singh was also seen trying his hand at bowling during the session.
