Virat Kohli finally gives another bat to Rinku Singh

By Akanksha - April 25, 2024 11:16 PM

Rinku Singh, a great batsman for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), eventually received a bat from Virat Kohli twice. Following the first match between KKR and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the upcoming IPL 2024 season in Bengaluru on March 29, Kohli gave Rinku a bat as a token of his appreciation after being impressed by his development.

Before their rematch on April 21, Rinku disclosed that he shattered that exceptional bat. In addition, he said he could show the damaged one to the former RCB hitter and kindly requested that he give him another.

A recent video that KKR shared on X (formerly Twitter) showed Rinku clutching yet another bat that Kohli had given her.

'Bat mila, Rinku bhai?' a fan questioned Rinku.

Rinku said, 'Mil gya,' and held up a bat.

KKR vs RCB performance

In the current Indian Premier League, Kolkata Knight Riders are enjoying an incredible run (IPL 2024). With 10 victories from their first seven games, they are now ranked second in the points standings, only behind Rajasthan Royals. This season, KKR and RCB faced off twice, with the two-time champions coming out on top both times.

The RCB, on the other hand, is having a poor season. With just one victory in eight games, the squad, captained by Faf du Plessis, is at the bottom of the ten-team points standings. They are now engaged in combat with Sunrisers Hyderabad at Hyderabad's Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.

It was an exciting match as KKR and RCB faced off at Eden Gardens in Kolkata for the second time this season. After being assigned to bat first, KKR set a challenging goal of 223 runs in the first innings thanks to Phil Salt's quickfire 48 and Shreyas Iyer's half-century. The RCB bats gave it their all, but in the last over they were unable to overcome the small deficit of one run.
