Sams got him caught by Aaron Finch. The match was stuck and could sit on any side. Disappointed Kohli went and sat down with his captain Rohit after getting out.

Dinesh Karthik, who came to the crease, took a single and gave the responsibility of victory to Hardik Pandya, set on the first crease. Pandya gave the team victory by hitting a four on the fifth ball of the 20th over. Immediately after the win, the cameraman showed the dressing room, where Kohli and Rohit were seen happily swinging and hugging each other on the stairs.
