The picture of the reunion of three icons is going viral

An image of three Indian cricket greats, MS Dhoni, Sachin Tendulkar, and Rohit Sharma united in one frame went viral on Friday, much to the delight of the sport's devoted followers.

As soon as this famous photo appeared on social media, rumours started to circulate online. But judging by its look, the picture most likely shows a restaurant commercial shot. These kinds of photo shoots are frequently used to preserve the glamorous image of the Indian Premier League (IPL) even when it is not directly related to on-field activity.

The youthful opening batsman Ruturaj Gaikwad will take over as club captain after the great wicketkeeper-batter and former captain of CSK, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, decided to resign from his captaincy job only one day before the IPL 2024 season began.

However, after the Mumbai Indians acquired the all-round player from the Gujarat Titans in an all-cash transaction last year, Hardik Pandya replaced Rohit as captain. With him, MI won five IPL championships.

In the meantime, the great Tendulkar, who is relishing his retirement, is serving as a mentor to the MI squad in the present IPL.

Previous to this, Indian captain Rohit reaffirmed his commitment to the game and his goal of winning the World Cup for his country. In a recent interview with host Gaurav Kapur and well-known artist Ed Sheeran on a special episode of Breakfast with Champions, Rohit rejected talk of retiring from cricket.

'I haven't given retiring any thought. I'm not sure where life will lead you, though. Since I'm still playing well right now, I plan to keep playing for a few more years before I decide to stop,' Rohit remarked.

'I hope India makes it to the World Cup final in 2025. I want to win the World Cup,' Rohit said, demonstrating his dedication to reaching important benchmarks in international cricket.
