Team India New ODI Jersey: The Board of Control for Cricket in India has finally unveiled Team India's new ODI jersey. The jersey was launched at an event at the BCCI headquarters in Mumbai in which apart from Secretary Jay Shah, women's team captain Harmanpreet Kaur was also present.
The Indian cricket team has to play the ICC Champions Trophy next year after finishing the Australia tour, while before this important tournament, Team India's new ODI jersey was launched in a program organized at the BCCI headquarters in Mumbai on November 29. Secretary Jay Shah, who will take over as the ICC chief from December 1, was present at the launch of the new ODI jersey, apart from this, Indian women's team captain Harmanpreet Kaur also reached the occasion. Talking about the specialty of Team India's new ODI jersey, it is quite different from the previous one, in which this time the tricolor will be seen on the shoulder. Team India's women's captain Harmanpreet Kaur, who was present at the jersey launch, launched it along with secretary Jai Shah. Talking about the specialty of the new ODI jersey, Harmanpreet Kaur said that it is a matter of great honor for me that the new jersey was unveiled in my presence. I am very happy to see it, the way the tricolor is shown on both the shoulders looks very spectacular.
From December 5, the Indian women's team will play a three-match ODI series on the tour of Australia, in which Team India will not be seen in the new ODI jersey. After this, this month, the Indian women's team will also play a series of three ODIs and three T20 matches against the West Indies at home, in which the T20 series will start first from December 15 and after this the first match of the ODI series will be played on December 22, in which the Indian team will be seen in the new jersey.
Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Jay Shah and women's team captain Harmanpreet Kaur unveiled India's new ODI jersey at the board headquarters in Mumbai on Friday, November 29. The unveiling was done ahead of India's departure to Australia for a three-match ODI series, starting December 5.
The new jersey has a tri-colour gradient on the shoulders, which is a change from the previous version which had only the iconic three stripes in whites.
Harmanpreet Kaur confirmed that the Indian women's team will first wear the new ODI jersey when they take on the West Indies in a three-match ODi series from December 22 to 27 in Vadodara.
