T. Natarajan trade: Ahead of IPL 2027, Delhi Capitals have made a major decision by trading their fast bowler, T. Natarajan. He will now play for Sunrisers Hyderabad.

T. Natarajan previously played for Hyderabad, representing the franchise from 2020 to 2024. In 2024, he delivered his best performance, taking 19 wickets a contribution that helped the Hyderabad team reach the final.

Following this, Natarajan entered the IPL 2025 auction, where he was purchased by Delhi Capitals for ₹10.75 crore; however, he has now been traded.

A major setback for T. Natarajan

The trade involving T. Natarajan now with the Delhi Capitals has resulted in a significant financial loss for the player. His salary has been reduced to less than half; instead of 10.75 crore rupees, he will now receive 5 crore rupees. In other words, T. Natarajan has incurred a loss of 5.75 crore rupees.

Zeeshan Ansari Joins Delhi

Following T. Natarajan’s departure, the Delhi Capitals have added Hyderabad leg-spinner Zeeshan Ansari to their squad. The Delhi franchise will pay the player ₹40 lakh per season.

Zeeshan Ansari is considered one of the most talented spinners from Uttar Pradesh and possesses a natural knack for taking wickets. Notably, with the Delhi Capitals having traded Kuldeep Yadav to Lucknow, the team was in need of a wrist-spinner—a role they have now entrusted to Zeeshan.

Player Trades Ahead of IPL 2027

Ahead of IPL 2027, Delhi Capitals have traded Kuldeep Yadav from their squad to Lucknow Super Giants. The Lucknow franchise will pay Kuldeep ₹13.5 crore.

Meanwhile, Lucknow has traded their captain, Rishabh Pant, to Delhi Capitals for ₹15 crore. Pant was the most expensive player in IPL history; he had been purchased by Lucknow for ₹27 crore in the 2025 auction.
