The next Zimbabwe series will see a respite for both Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. With the IPL and the T20 World Cup in close succession, there is a busy calendar ahead of us. Particularly Rohit Sharma has been playing for a long period, whereas Kohli recently had a break to give birth to his second kid. The rest of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli present a great chance for the younger IPL players to show off their abilities in the next Zimbabwe series.
The seniors will officially be leading the charge in the World Cup in June: the BCCI decided to give fresh players more opportunities in a smaller event than in the T20 World Cup.

After the heartbreak of losing the 2022 World Cup, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have left the T20 setup. They both returned to the picture, though, for the competition against Afghanistan earlier this year.
Since India hasn't won an ICC event since Rohit and Kohli were playing at their peak, this may be their greatest chance to do it at last.
After the World Cup, India will have an exciting cricket season that begins on July 6 with a five-match T20 series in Zimbabwe. Subsequently, in late July, India will play another series, this time against Sri Lanka, consisting of three Twenty20 matches and three One-Day Internationals.
Notably, a youthful Indian squad will compete in both competitions, and older players are expected to be rested.
