Prasidh Krishna 20 Consecutive Dot Balls: In the third ODI match at the historic Lord's ground, the Indian team took the field to bowl first after losing the toss.

Meanwhile, the host team, England, got off to a commanding start after winning the toss and electing to bat, posting 58 runs on the board without losing a wicket during the initial 10-over powerplay.

However, amidst this explosive start, Indian fast bowler Prasidh Krishna made life difficult for the English batters with his sharp and disciplined bowling.

A brilliant spell in the powerplay, including two maidens

In the absence of Jasprit Bumrah for this match, Prasidh Krishna took charge of the pace attack. England's formidable openers struggled immensely, finding it difficult to even steal a single run against him.

Prasidh Krishna bowled with tight line and length during the opening powerplay. He bowled a total of five overs in his first spell, conceding just 21 runs at an impressive economy rate of 4.20.

Although he could not secure a breakthrough for his team despite this magnificent spell, he exerted such immense pressure on the English batters stifling their run-scoring that he achieved a unique feat in modern cricket. During this spell, Prasidh also bowled two maiden overs.

A Remarkable Feat: 20 Consecutive Dot Balls

During the match, Prasidh Krishna’s dominance was such that he achieved the extraordinary feat of bowling 20 consecutive dot balls. In an era of modern cricket where batters attempt big shots on almost every delivery, preventing a batter from scoring for 20 straight balls is nothing short of a miracle.

Prasidh Krishna conceded 12 runs in his opening over but staged a powerful comeback thereafter. Returning to the attack in the fourth over of England's innings, he bowled five consecutive dot balls to close out the over. He followed this up by bowling maiden overs in the sixth and eighth overs of the innings.

In the final over of the powerplay the 10th over Prasidh started by bowling three consecutive dot balls, thereby completing his tally of 20 straight dot balls. His magnificent bowling performance left everyone amazed.
