IPL 2023: Ben Stokes will play IPL or not, Stokes gave a statement

Ben Stokes IPL 2023: England's star all-rounder Ben Stokes was injured during the second Test match against New Zealand. He hit his left knee on the field, after which he was seen staggering off the field.

After his injury, it started being discussed very fast whether Stokes' injury is more serious then he will be seen playing in IPL 2023 or not. However, Stokes gave a major update on his fitness during the press conference after missing the second Test.

What did Ben Stokes say after missing the second test?

The second Test match played between England and New Zealand (ENG vs NZ 2nd Test), the England team had to face defeat by just 1 run. England were in a strong position at the beginning of the match, but the English team had to face defeat against New Zealand on the fifth day of the match.

After the defeat in the match, Ben Stokes said, "Not winning the match is obviously very disappointing, but if you look at the big picture, everyone enjoyed today's match." Losing is extremely disappointing, but there's nothing you can do. Yes, I am excited about what happened today, that I got to be a part of a match like this."

Ben Stokes will play IPL or Not?

After the injury of England team captain Ben Stokes in the second Test, there was doubt over his IPL 2023 play. Meanwhile, after losing the second Test, Stokes has made it clear that he is going to play IPL 2023.

They said,
Don't worry, I will definitely play IPL 2023. I have had a chat with Stephen Fleming and he is fully aware of my body situation. It is a week-to-week affair at the moment. After that I will be fine.

Let us tell you that the upcoming season of IPL is going to start from 31st March. The first match of the tournament will be played between defending champions Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings. This match will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
