New Zealand have suffered a major setback ahead of their five-match ODI series against India. Two key players, Mark Chapman and Rachin Ravindra, have been ruled out of the entire series due to injuries. Their absence could affect New Zealand's plans as they prepare to face India.

The India vs New Zealand ODI series will begin on November 4, with the first match scheduled to take place at Eden Park in Auckland. New Zealand will be looking to bounce back after losing the five-match T20I series 2-3 against India. However, the absence of two important players has made their challenge even tougher.

India vs New Zealand ODI Series: Mark Chapman and Rachin Ravindra Ruled Out

New Zealand will miss the services of Mark Chapman and Rachin Ravindra in the upcoming ODI series due to fitness concerns.

Mark Chapman suffered a left hamstring injury during the European T20 Premier League. His latest MRI scan revealed that he needs around two more weeks of rehabilitation to regain full fitness. As a result, he will not be available for the series against India.

Meanwhile, Rachin Ravindra injured his right shoulder during a promotional shoot. According to New Zealand Cricket (NZC), he is not yet fit to field at full intensity in white-ball cricket. The team management has therefore decided not to take any risks with his recovery.
