India vs Afghanistan 2026 T20 Series: The schedule for the three-match T20 series between India and Afghanistan has been released. The Afghanistan Cricket Board has announced the dates for the series, which will be played in Delhi. Prior to this, the two teams played a Test match and a three-match ODI series in June.

According to a Cricbuzz report, the Afghanistan Cricket Board has announced that a T20 series between the two teams will be played next month—in September. In a letter sent to stakeholders on Monday (August 10), the ACB stated that the three matches of the series would be held at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on September 13, 15, and 17. It was also mentioned that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has agreed to these dates.

Naseeb Khan said, "The Afghanistan Board confirms that Afghanistan's tour of India (2026) will take place between September 13 and September 17. The Board also clarifies that the dates for the event have been finalized and approved in consultation with the BCCI, and the venues for the scheduled matches have also been decided."

What did the ACB say regarding the official announcement?

Citing the board, the report further stated, "Although no official public announcement regarding this event has been made by the concerned authorities yet, the board is issuing this letter to officially confirm the dates and venues for Afghanistan's 2026 tour of India. Therefore, all media rights holders may commence their advance planning, scheduling, production arrangements, resource allocation, promotional activities, and other related preparations based on the schedule provided above."
