In this matter, he defeated former Indian captain MS Dhoni, who holds the record of hitting 78 sixes in Tests. Before Rohit, Virender Sehwag holds the record for hitting the most number of sixes (90) in Tests for India.

Rohit Sharma scored the 11th century of his Test career and 47th century of international cricket. During this, he broke the record of former England team captain Joe Root. Joe Root has scored 46 international centuries. 36 year old Rohit Sharma equaled the record of South African legend AB de Villiers. Villiers has scored 47 centuries in his international career.
