Harry Brook’s replacement for Test series against India

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) announced on Sunday that Harry Brook will not play in the five-match Test series against India and middle-order batsman Dan Lawrence has been included in his place. The ECB said that 26-year-old Dan Lawrence Lawrence from Surrey will join the team on Monday in place of Brook and go to India for the series starting in Hyderabad from Thursday. However, choosing Lawrence is a bit surprising decision because he played his last Test against West Indies in March 2022.
