FIFA World Cup: The FIFA Congress has finally announced the host countries for the World Cup to be played in 2030 and 2034, with Saudi Arabia alone getting the hosting rights for 2034, while in 2030 six countries will jointly host the event.
FIFA, the world's largest football body, announced the host countries for the 2030 and 2034 World Cups on December 11. The FIFA Congress has decided to share the hosting rights of the 2030 World Cup event with six countries, including Spain, Portugal and Morocco. Apart from this, Saudi Arabia has managed to win the sole right to host all the matches of the 2034 FIFA World Cup.
6 countries were selected for the 2030 World Cup in FIFA's virtual congress meeting, including three South American countries Uruguay, Paraguay and Argentina, where one match of the tournament will be played. This decision was informed by Gianni Infantino, the current president of FIFA, the supreme body of world football, in which he said that the joint hosting of the World Cup to be held in the year 2030 has been handed over to Spain, Portugal and Morocco. Apart from Uruguay, one match each will be organized in Argentina and Paraguay. One of these 6 countries, Uruguay, will play a match of the Football World Cup after 100 years. Earlier, in the Football World Cup held in the year 1930, Uruguay hosted the tournament.
The last FIFA World Cup played in the year 2022 was played in Qatar, in which it was the first Gulf country to host the tournament. Now Saudi Arabia will become the second Gulf country to host this Football World Cup in the year 2034. A lot of money has been spent on football in Saudi Arabia in the last few years.
