FIFA World Cup 2026: Video of Ronaldo Crying Goes Viral Ahead of FIFA World Cup

While sports enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting the commencement of the 2026 FIFA World Cup—scheduled to kick off on June 12—a video has surfaced showing the 41-year-old legendary footballer, Cristiano Ronaldo, in tears. Just prior to the World Cup, on May 22, Ronaldo played a pivotal role in helping Al Nassr—the club for which he plays in the Saudi Pro League—secure a title for the very first time. Following this victory, Ronaldo appeared visibly emotional on the pitch; unable to contain his feelings, he broke down in tears.

Notably, Cristiano Ronaldo had joined the club in 2023—a period when the team was consistently falling short of winning titles; however, after a long wait of three years, Ronaldo finally succeeded in leading his team to victory.

Al Nassr Secures Top Spot with a 4-1 Victory Over Damac-

In the Saudi Pro League, Al Nassr—the club featuring Cristiano Ronaldo—faced off against Damac on May 22 at Al-Awwal Park in Riyadh. The opening goal of the match was scored in the 33rd minute by Al Nassr's Sadio Mané, followed by a second goal in the 51st minute by Kingsley Coman, giving Al Nassr a commanding 2-0 lead. Damac pulled one back in the 57th minute through Morlaye Sylla, narrowing the scoreline to 2-1.

It was at this pivotal moment that Cristiano Ronaldo worked his magic; playing a crucial role in turning the match into a one-sided affair, he scored in the 62nd and 80th minutes to seal a decisive 4-1 victory for Al Nassr.

With this win, Al Nassr claimed the top spot in the Saudi Pro League standings, reaching a total of 86 points from 34 matches. They also established a two-point lead over Al-Hilal—the only club throughout this entire season that has remained undefeated. This season, Cristiano Ronaldo has scored a total of 29 goals.

Now, all eyes will be on Ronaldo at the FIFA World Cup—

After leading Al Nassr to its first-ever Saudi title, Cristiano Ronaldo appeared quite emotional; however, all eyes have now turned to the upcoming Football World Cup—specifically to see whether he will succeed in securing a championship title for Portugal for the very first time. For the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the Portuguese national team has been placed in Group K, where their opening match is scheduled for June 17. Cristiano Ronaldo currently stands as the highest goal-scorer in the world of football, with a total of 974 goals to his name.
