Members of the squad departed from Mumbai on Saturday evening. They landed in the US on Monday morning to take part in the main event after a brief stopover in Dubai. The captain of India landed in New York on Monday along with Rohit, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Suryakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant, Shivam Dube, Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel, and travelling reserves Shubman Gill and Khaleel Ahmed.

Star Sports reports that Rohit Sharma and company will take the next two days off before starting their American practice sessions. On June 1, Team India and Bangladesh will play a practice match. against June 5, the first-ever winners will take against Ireland in the T20 World Cup. Sanju Samson, Yuzvendra Chahal, Avesh Khan, and Yashasvi Jaiswal will join the team shortly; the second group of players left this morning.

Along with the initial group was the full support crew, which was commanded by head coach Rahul Dravid. It is believed that Hardik Pandya was contacted straight from London. Mumbai Indians, the best all-around player in India, went on vacation following their IPL team's league stage collapse. He planned to fly straight to New York from London.
