Sai Sudharsan had previously missed the Test series against Sri Lanka due to a heel injury. He was aiming to prove his match fitness through this Ranji Trophy game so that he could be fully prepared for the tour of New Zealand.
Interestingly, he was not initially included in Tamil Nadu's main squad. He joined the team just two nights before the match and was drafted into the playing XI at the last minute, but the decision proved unfortunate for him.
Team India and Fans Await Official Update
As of now, there has been no official statement from the BCCI or the team management regarding the severity of Sudharsan's injury. The Indian camp and cricket fans are praying that the injury is not too serious and that he recovers quickly to return to the field. His fitness is crucial for India, especially with the New Zealand tour coming up.
