With this magnificent throw, he moved into second place and clinched the silver medal.

However, the gold medal went to Sri Lanka's rising athlete, Rumesh Pathirage.
He delivered a spectacular throw of 88.55 meters in his final attempt, thereby securing the gold medal. His last throw was not only the longest but also proved to be the decisive moment of the competition. Notably, Rumesh Pathirage had previously won the gold medal at the 2026 Commonwealth Games as well, where Neeraj Chopra took silver and Yash Veer Singh won bronze.
