Asia Cup 2022: Ticket sales for all matches will start from August 15

India and Pakistan will face each other in their tournament opener of the 2022 T20 Asia Cup.

Team India is set to take on their arch-rivals Pakistan in their first match of the 2022 T20 Asia Cup. The tickets for the much-awaited clash will also go on sale on August 15 (Monday). The information was given by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) through a tweet recently.

The 2022 T20 Asia Cup is slated to start on August 27 with Sri Lanka and Afghanistan taking on each other during the tournament opener. The prominent cricketing nations including India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh have already qualified for the tournament while the qualifies is to be played among UAE, Kuwait, Singapore, and Hong Kong to be played in Oman.

“Ticket sales for Asia Cup 2022 go up for sale on August 15th. Visit the link below from Monday onwards to book your tickets:” ACC tweeted on Saturday night with a link to platinumlist.net, along with the entire schedule of the continental showpiece.

At present, the Men in Green are preparing for their ODI series against the Netherlands slated to start soon. Similarly, the Men in Blue will be soon seen in action in a three-match ODI series against Zimbabwe. Senior batter KL Rahul along with prominent all-rounder Deepak Chahar have returned to the Indian squad after a long time.

Talking more about the Asia Cup, the tournament was slated to be played in Sri Lanka this year, but due to the current economic situation in the island country and food shortage, the organizing committee decided to shift the tournament in UAE. “Considering the prevailing situation in Sri Lanka, the ACC after extensive deliberation has unanimously concluded that it would be appropriate to relocate the tournament from Sri Lanka to UAE,” ACC had said in a statement.

All the Asian teams will want to give their best in the upcoming tournament and prepare for the 2022 T20 World Cup slated to be played in Australia later this year.
