Arun Jaitley Stadium, New Delhi, India is a historic and major cricket venue. The stadium is located on Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg in Delhi and is operated by the Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA). It was earlier known as the Feroze Shah Kotla Stadium. In 2019, it was renamed in honour of Arun Jaitley, former Finance Minister of India and President of the DDCA.

Establishment and History

The stadium was established in 1883, and is the second oldest international cricket stadium in India. The first Test match was played here in 1948, in which India and West Indies teams faced each other. The stadium has witnessed many historic cricket moments, such as Anil Kumble's 10-wicket innings and Sachin Tendulkar's 35th Test century.
