The Anoeta Stadium, currently known as the Reale Arena for sponsorship reasons, is a football stadium in San Sebastián, Basque Country, Spain, which opened in 1993. Located within the Anoeta Sports Complex, the stadium is primarily used for football matches and is the home ground of La Liga team Real Sociedad. The stadium originally had a seating capacity of 32,000, which was reduced to approximately 26,800 due to redevelopment work; upon completion of the work in September 2019, the capacity was increased to 40,000 seats (expandable to 42,300 if needed), making it the 11th largest stadium in Spain and the second largest in the Basque Country. It is one of the potential host cities for the 2030 FIFA World Cup, which is being jointly hosted by Morocco, Portugal, and Spain.
