Australia defeated West Indies by 10 wickets in the first Test in Adelaide to take a 1-0 lead in the two-match series. Here is the updated 2023-2025 World Test Championship (WTC) points table after two series.

Australia remains on top in the WTC after their dominant win in the series opener against West Indies in Adelaide. It was their sixth win in nine games this cycle, taking their points tally to 66 and their points percentage to 61.11. At the start of the series, they defeated Pakistan 3–0 on home soil to clinch the top spot.

They will play again against West Indies in the second and final match of the series to be held at the Gabba from January 25 to 29. The match will provide another chance for the defending champions to consolidate their pole position.

Australia is currently behind India, who were on top for some time after defeating South Africa in the shortest Test ever played in Cape Town. This cut was made with the conclusion of the Australia-Pakistan Test. India have won two out of four matches and currently have 26 points with a scoring percentage of 54.16.

Meanwhile, West Indies dropped one place to eighth with 11.11 points percentage after a humiliating defeat in Adelaide in their third 2023-2025 WTC Test. They have lost two, while the rain-affected match against India ended in a draw, giving them four points. Along with Sri Lanka, West Indies are one of two teams that have not won a game so far in this cycle.

After the West Indies defeat, England were the only team to move up in the rankings, rising to seventh place. Out of five matches, they have won two and drawn one.
