Southern Vipers Academy's off-spinner Ava Lee created a new record in women's cricket. She took 9 wickets for 2 runs against Thunder Academy at Bamford Fieldhouse Cricket Club. Ava Lee created the record of best bowling in an innings of senior women's cricket after 1962. She maiden 5 overs in 7.3 overs.

In the match, Southern Vipers won the toss and decided to bowl first. Thunder Academy's openers TN Kesteven (26) and G Hempstead (32) gave the team a great start by adding 64 runs for the first wicket. However, after Kesteven's dismissal, Thunder's team came back in the match and lost 10 wickets for 16 runs in 14.1 overs. Vipers had scored 226/6 runs till stumps on the first day.
