Paul Valthaty played such an innings in IPL that even Dhoni could not stop him. In 2011, Valthaty was playing for Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings). On 13 April 2011, Chennai Super Kings faced Punjab. Valthaty scored a brilliant century in this match. Batting first in this match, Chennai scored 188 runs losing four wickets. Punjab achieved the target in 19.1 overs losing four wickets. In this match, Valthaty scored 120 runs in 63 balls hitting 19 fours and two sixes.
Paul Valthaty played a memorable innings in his IPL career, but after that he disappeared from IPL. After playing 14 matches in 2011, Valthaty played six matches the next year and then only one match in 2013. After that he was not seen anywhere. Valthaty is currently busy in coaching and his effort will be to make his team win the title. If we look at Valthaty's IPL career, he played a total of 23 matches, in which he scored 505 runs at an average of 22.95 and a strike rate of 120.81. In his entire IPL career, he scored two half-centuries and a century and all three innings came in 2011.
