West Indies bowler Romario Shepherd came to bowl the 16th over for the team. England needed 40 runs from 30 balls. England batsman Philip Salt was on strike, who was playing after scoring 49 runs from 37 balls. Salt hit a four on the first ball of Shepherd and completed his half-century. Salt hit a six on the second ball of the over. Salt again hit a boundary on the next ball. On the fourth ball of the over, Salt hit a six over long off and on the next ball he hit a six by playing a pull shot on square leg. 26 runs had come off 5 balls of the over. On the last ball of the over, Salt hit a full-toss ball over mid-off for a four and scored a total of 30 runs in the entire over.

He conceded five runs through wides, while Pooran also got a four through leg-bye.

This was the most expensive over in the history of T20 World Cup.
