Ravinder Pahal is also one of the successful defenders of PKL. He got 29 tackle points in 9 matches. Ravinder was awarded as the 'Best Defender of the Season' in Season 2 of the PKL.
He achieved 60 tackle points in 14 matches. In Season 2 he attempted an unconventional move, the 'Wrist Hold'. In Season 3 he got 26 tackle points in 11 matches. Ravinder was bought by Puneri Paltan, where he performed well scoring 37 tackle points in 14 matches.
Last season, Ravinder Pahal played for Bengaluru Bulls and managed to score 52 tackle points in 19 matches. He has made 17 super tackles and 16 high 5s. Ravinder will play for Dabang Delhi KC in the upcoming season of PKL.
In the inaugural season of the PKL, Mohit scored 35 tackle points in 16 matches. Mohit was a key part of U Mumba's victory in Season 2 as he scored 42 tackle points in 14 matches.
In Season 3, he was successful in scoring 43 tackle points in 13 matches. Mohit was brought in by Bengaluru Bulls in Season 4 where he scored 47 tackle points in 14 matches.
He did not perform well in Season 5 and could only score 39 tackle points in 20 matches for Haryana Steelers. He also has 17 High 5 and 17 Super Tackles. Mohit will wear the Jaipur Pink Panthers jersey in the upcoming season 6 of the Pro Kabaddi League.
Sandeep Narwal is a successful defender in PKL history. He is a defensive all-rounder. In the first edition of PKL, he got 27 tackle points in 14 matches.
Patna's Sandeep managed to score 37 tackle points in 16 matches in Season 2. In Season 3, Sandeep was the second highest tackle point scorer behind Manjeet Chhillar of Puneri Paltan. He got 55 tackle points in 14 matches. Sandeep played season 4 for Telugu Titans.
Sandeep Narwal scored 42 points in 16 matches. In Season 5, Sandeep moved to Puneri Paltan where he scored 52 tackle points in 21 matches. Sandeep has made 16 super tackles and 14 high 5s. Sandeep will be a part of Puneri Paltan's defense in the upcoming season 6 of PKL.
Surendra Nada is one of the best defenders in PKL. In the inaugural season of the PKL, he managed to score 51 tackle points in 15 matches. He scored 41 tackle points in 14 matches in Season 2.
Season 3 was not good for Nada as he could only score 13 tackle points in 7 matches. In Season 4, Nada moved to Bengaluru Bulls and scored 33 tackle points in 13 matches. He topped the list of most tackle points last season with 80 points in 21 matches.
Surendra Nada has 16 super tackles in his name. He is also tied with Manjeet Chhillar of Tamil Thalaivas as the highest scorer in the league with 5 points (19). Ankle hold is the signature move of Surendra Nada. He will be a part of Haryana Steelers.
Manjeet Chhillar is arguably the best all-rounder and especially the best left-back in PKL history. Now he mostly plays as a defender. Manjeet Chhillar is the most successful defender in PKL history. In Season 1 he scored 51 tackle points in 16 matches for Bengaluru Bulls. He was awarded as the Best Defender of Season 1. Playing for the Bulls, Manjeet scored 40 tackle points in 16 matches in Season 2.Manjeet Chhillar is the most valuable player. Again in Season 3, Manjeet received the Best Defender award, where he scored 61 points in 15 matches played for Puneri Paltan. Manjeet Puneri could not play some matches for the team due to injury in season 4. But he scored 44 tackle points in 12 matches that season. Season 5 was not as satisfying for him. He scored only 47 tackle points in 15 matches for Jaipur Pink Panthers.Manjeet Chhillar has scored the most 5 tackle points (19) (scored 5 tackle points in a match). This record is jointly held by him and Surendra Nada of Haryana Steelers. He has made 8 super tackles. Block and Dash are the main moves of Manjeet Chhillar. He will be seen playing for Tamil Thalaivas in PKL Season 6.
