Sukumar, is a former cricketer who played at the Under-19 level and also captained Tamil Nadu.

He currently runs a cricket academy in Chennai. Ambareesh is known for his ability to swing the ball. He also made his debut in the Ranji Trophy last season; across two matches, he scored 43 runs with the bat and took two wickets with his bowling.
