M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru is witnessing heavy showers on the day of the all important Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Gujarat Titans Indian Premier League 2023 match, and the weather does not look promising for the rest of the day either. Rain caused a disruption to the outdoor warm-up on Saturday, but the game may now be delayed or perhaps called off due to the predicted downpours during the match time.
According to the reputable weather website AccuWeather, there is a 50% chance of rain around 4 PM (local time) on Sunday. The chance of rain is expected to increase to 65% by the time of the coin toss at 7:00 PM. The rain is expected to be steady between 9:00 and 11:00 PM before declining.

If the rain does materialize, it could have a significant impact on the match. The toss and the scheduled start time of the game might potentially be moved back, making it the sixth game of the season to experience the worst weather. The IPL’s final league game might end late into the night as the rain likelihood will drop to less than 30% after midnight.
Fans will be hoping for the best, but they should also be prepared for the worst. With the weather forecast looking so uncertain, it is impossible to say for sure whether the match will be able to go ahead as planned.

If MI wins against SRH, it's a worrying situation for RCB!

If the match between RCB and GT is called off due to rain, both teams will receive one point each. RCB will then have a total of 15 points. However, this will not guarantee their qualification for the playoffs. If Mumbai Indians defeat Sunrisers Hyderabad, they will have 16 points and will surpass RCB in the top 4. Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings have already secured spots in the top 2, while Lucknow Super Giants have advanced into the playoffs.
In short, if the match is called off due to rain, RCB will need Mumbai Indians to lose to Sunrisers Hyderabad in order to qualify for the playoffs.
