The mini-auction of IPL 2024 was completed on December 19, and all teams spent money from their purses generously to buy their required players. Under the captaincy of Faf du Plessis, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) was able to obtain six spots during the auction, which attracted a number of elite players.
The most expensive acquisition made by RCB to date was Alzarri Joseph, who sold for an impressive INR 11.5 crore. The team also had three other fast bowlers, Tom Curran, Lockie Ferguson, and Yash Dayal, in addition to the West Indian speedy. They also managed to get Gujarat's best batsman, Saurav Chauhan, and left-arm spinner Swapnil Singh.
For the RCB team in the IPL 2024, Will Jacks will fill in for Glenn Maxwell, while Reece Topley, Lockie Ferguson, and Tom Curran are named as Alzarri Joseph's backups.
