The Royal Challengers Bangalore franchise has sacked Mike Hesson and Sanjay Bangar. The former Zimbabwean player and the head coach of Lucknow Super Giants last season has been appointed as the new head coach by the RCB team.
Royal Challengers Bangalore have started preparations for their maiden IPL title. The team has not won the trophy even once in the last 16 seasons. Last season, the team could not even qualify for the playoffs. The blame for this is on head coach Sanjay Bangar and team director Mike Hesson. The RCB franchise has sacked Hesson and Bangar. Andy Flower, former Zimbabwe player and the head coach of Lucknow Super Giants last season, has been appointed as the new head coach of the team.
RCB head coach for IPL 2024, Andy Flower recently left Lucknow Supergiants. In his place, Justin Langer became the head coach of Lucknow. In such a situation, Andy has now been made the head coach of RCB. We welcome Andy Flower, ICC Hall of Famer and England's T20 World Cup-winning coach, as the head coach of the RCB men's team. Andy's experience of coaching IPL and several T20 teams around the world and leading his teams to titles in PSL, ILT20, The Hundred and Abu Dhabi T10 could help Arseeb win the title. His winning mindset will help RCB move forward.
