The second semi-final match of the T20 World Cup 2021 will be played between Pakistan and Australia today. The clash between the two teams will start at 7.30 pm at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Both the teams have made it to the league stage after a stellar performance. Pakistan topped Group-2 while Australia is second in Group-1. Pakistan hoisted the winning flag in all their five matches of the sup-12 round. On the other hand, Australia won four matches and lost one .
Pakistan started their campaign in the tournament with a historic win against India. The Pakistan team led by Babar Azam defeated New Zealand, Afghanistan, Namibia and Scotland. Pakistan won the T20 World Cup title in the year 2009 and now the team will be looking to enter the final for the second time. At the same time, Australia defeated South Africa, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, West Indies in the Super-12 round and lost against England. The Kangaroo team was the runner-up in the year 2019 and will come with full strength to enter the title match for the second time.

Against spin, Australia has faced trouble on several occasions. On the other hand, 2010 runners-up Australia are showing their top game at the right time and would like to win the title here and win the ICC tournament they have not won so far.

Apart from an eight-wicket loss against England, the Finch-led side have dominated all their other matches, registering victories and beating South Africa to reach the semi-finals. Australia have a very strong fast bowling attack comprising Josh Hazlewood, Mitchell Starc, and Pat Cummins while leg-spinner Adam Zampa, who is the second most successful bowler of the current tournament, has done well in the middle overs. All-rounders Glenn Maxwell and Mitchell Marsh have led the team to successes with the ball and will also have the option of playing left-arm spinner, Ashton Agar.

The toss has been discussed a lot during the T20 World Cup. After winning the toss, the bowling team has got the upper hand so far. The team batting first has been able to win only once in Dubai. The average score at this ground has been 122. However, apart from the bowlers, there is also a possibility of getting help to the batsmen at the Dubai International Stadium. In fact, the pitch used for the semi-finals of Pakistan and Australia has given good assist to the batsmen in the last three matches. Dew can also be a factor here.
