She set a world record for the highest number of 50+ scores in women's T20 International cricket within a single calendar year.
- Delivering another brilliant performance in this match, Shafali recorded her ninth (9*) score of 50 or more in the year 2026. Her consistency and power-hitting demonstrate how rapidly she is maturing in the shortest format of the game.
Before reaching the top, she had equaled Smriti Mandhana’s previous record by playing a blistering, unbeaten innings of 100 runs off just 49 balls against Bangladesh in the Asian Games semi-final; now, she has reached a new milestone.
