This new appointment has been confirmed by CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan. He revealed that the team's head coach, Zaheer Khan, had recommended Mohit Sharma for the position.
Mohit will now take over this responsibility from veteran coach Eric Simons. This combination of Zaheer Khan's cricketing acumen and Mohit's vast experience is poised to steer CSK's bowling attack in a new direction.

Mohit Sharma shares a long-standing and deep bond with the Chennai Super Kings. He has played a total of four seasons for CSK across two separate stints:
