Indian cricketer Rohit Sharma has revealed plans for the upcoming World Test Championship (WTC) final in 2023. According to Sharma, some Indian players are likely to travel to the United Kingdom early in order to prepare for the final. While the exact details of the plan have not been disclosed, it is believed that the early travel will allow the Indian team to acclimatize to the English conditions and develop better strategies for the final. The WTC final is scheduled to take place in June at oval.

On Monday, the Indian cricket team secured their place in the 2023 World Test Championship final after Sri Lanka failed to produce a favorable result for them. This will be the second consecutive appearance for the Men in Blue in the final after winning the Border Gavaskar series by 2-1. To prepare for the final, the team is planning to come in great space. Indian captain Rohit Sharma has revealed that some players could travel to the United Kingdom early for the WTC final. During a post-match press conference, Sharma explained that players from IPL teams that have been knocked out of playoff contention can arrive early in the UK for the final. He added that they will monitor the situation and try to get as much preparation time as possible.

According to Indian captain Rohit Sharma, bowlers in contention for the World Test Championship final will receive the Duke ball to practice during the Indian Premier League event. Sharma stated that they will send some red Duke balls to all fast bowlers and let them practice with them if they get the time. However, he emphasized that it all depends on the individual players.

The fourth and final Test match between India and Australia ended in a draw, with both teams piling up runs in the first innings. Australia scored 480 runs after choosing to bat first, thanks to Usman Khawaja's incredible 180 and Cameron Green's 114. In response, India replied strongly with Shubman Gill scoring 128 runs and Virat Kohli ending his Test century drought with a brilliant score of 186. The hosts took a 91-run lead in the first innings and then hoped to put Australia under pressure in their second innings.

India has reached the World Test Championship final for the second time and will face Australia in the final at the Oval from 7th June onwards.
