List of Nominees for ICC Test Cricketer of the Year 2022, Two players from England and one from South Africa, Australia are included

The ICC has announced the names of the four players nominated for the Test Cricketer of the Year Award. Two players from England and one from South Africa, Australia are involved in the race to win this award. Apart from Stokes who became the captain of England, Johnny Bairstow can also win this award. Usman Khawaja of Australia and Kagiso Rabada of South Africa can also become Test Cricketer of the Year.

1. Ben Stokes

Ben Stokes scored 870 runs with the bat in 15 Tests this year and also took 26 wickets. This year he took over the captaincy of the England Test team and won nine out of 10 matches. Englands style of play in Test cricket changed after Stokes became the captain. Now the England team plays only with the intention of winning and is winning matches continuously. He gave England victory by playing a brilliant inning of 103 runs against South Africa.

2. Jonny Bairstow

Johnny Bairstow of England has done amazing batting this year and he is also a contender to become the Test Cricketer of the Year. Bairstow has scored 1061 runs in 10 Tests this year. This year his average was 66.31 and his strike rate was 76. During this, six centuries and one half-century came out of his bat. In the match against India, he played innings of 106 and 114 runs and gave victory to England.

3. Usman Khawaja

Usman Khawaja of Australia is also a contender to become the Test Cricketer of the Year this year. He has scored 1080 runs in 11 matches. Returning to the Australian team, Khawaja averaged 67.50. During this, five half-centuries also came out of his bat. He played innings of 137 and 101 in the Ashes series match against England.

4. Kagiso Rabada

Kagiso Rabada of South Africa can also win the Test Cricketer of the Year award this year. Rabada has taken 47 wickets in nine Test matches. This year he averaged 22.25 and had a strike rate of 34.1. Five wickets for 52 runs was his best performance.
