Now only a few days are left for IPL 2024 to start. The 17th season of the league will begin from March 22 with a match between defending champions Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore (CSK vs RCB) in Chepauk. However, even before the league started, some teams have suffered a major setback.
So far seven players have been out of this season. Of these, three players were out due to injury, while four players withdrew their names due to personal reasons or not receiving NOC. The franchises are angry with this, because they had bought those players in the auction keeping the team combination in mind, but now they have been cheated. Devon Conway The New Zealand batsman recently underwent surgery for a thumb injury and is expected to be out of action for up to eight weeks. CSK has not announced the name of any replacement. Devon Conway ruled out of IPL 2024 due to injury

Shami, the highest wicket-taker in the 2023 season, suffered an ankle injury during the 2023 ODI World Cup. Mohammed Shami has been ruled out of IPL 2024 due to the injury he sustained in the World Cup. Shami recently had surgery in London. Gujarat Titans have not yet announced his replacement.
Australian wicketkeeper-batsman Matthew Wade will not play in the Titans' first match on March 25. He has decided to play the Sheffield Shield final for Tasmania from 21 to 25 March. Some media reports even believe that he may miss Gujarat's second match (27 March). Matthew Wade will be unavailable in the first 2 matches of IPL 2024.

The ECB asked Mark Wood to opt out of the IPL keeping in mind the workload ahead of the T20 World Cup and England's domestic season. In his place, West Indies fast bowler Shamar Joseph has been included in the team. Mark Wood will be unavailable for the entire season of IPL 2024.
England batsman Harry Brook has withdrawn his name from IPL 2024. He has been away from action since February. Recently, he also withdrew his name from the five-match Test series against India. His grandmother had passed away and he wanted to be with his family. The Capitals have not yet announced the name of any replacement. Harry Brook will be unavailable for the entire season of IPL 2024
Prasidh Krishna The Indian fast bowler has been ruled out of the second consecutive IPL season after undergoing quadriceps tendon surgery in February. He suffered an injury during the Ranji Trophy. His replacement has not been announced yet. Prasidh Krishna is out of IPL 2024 due to injury

England opening batsman Jason Roy withdrew from IPL 2024 due to personal reasons. England's Phil Salt, who is currently the world number two batsman in the T20 rankings, has been included by the KKR team. Jason Roy will be unavailable for the entire season of IPL 2024
This England fast bowler Gus Atkinson was bought by KKR in the auction this year. However, he has withdrawn from his first IPL. Atkinson has withdrawn his name because the ECB did not give him NOC to manage the workload. In place of Atkinson, KKR has included Sri Lankan fast bowler Dushmantha Chameera in its team. Gus Atkinson will be unavailable for the entire season of IPL 2024.
