This right-handed batsman has represented Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) since the very first season, and the franchise has retained him in their squad throughout all these years. Kohli is one of the most consistent performers in the IPL and holds numerous batting records to his name. He has scored nine centuries in the IPL—the highest tally achieved by any batsman. Virat Kohli third century while chasing a target came during the 2026 season. RCB faced the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the 57th match at the Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur. Batting first, KKR posted a score of 192/4 in their innings, a total significantly bolstered by a half-century from Angkrish Raghuvanshi. Virat took charge of the chase and scored an unbeaten 105 runs off 60 balls, an innings featuring 11 fours and three sixes. He guided his team to a six-wicket victory and was named 'Player of the Match' for his magnificent performance.

In the 65th match of IPL 2023, RCB and SRH faced off on May 18 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. Thanks to a century knock by Heinrich Klaasen, the Sunrisers posted a score of 186/5 in the first innings. Subsequently, delivering a magnificent performance, Virat Kohli scored 100 runs off 63 balls. He shared a 172-run opening partnership with Faf du Plessis (71); Faf also scored a half-century in this match. RCB won the match by eight wickets, and Kohli was named the 'Player of the Match' for his outstanding performance.

Virat Kohli delivered his finest performance to date during the 2016 season. It was a season in which he also set the record for the most runs scored by a batsman in a single season (973 runs). In the 35th match of the tournament—played against the now-defunct 'Rising Pune Supergiants'—the then-captain of RCB smashed a magnificent century while chasing a target. The Pune team, led by MS Dhoni, had posted a score of 191/6 in the first innings. Opening the innings at the Chinnaswamy Stadium, Kohli took the field by storm; he scored an unbeaten 108 runs off 58 balls, an innings that included seven sixes. Thanks to this century, he guided his team to a seven-wicket victory.
