Subsequently, delivering a magnificent performance, Virat Kohli scored 100 runs off 63 balls. He shared a 172-run opening partnership with Faf du Plessis (71); Faf also scored a half-century in this match. Opening the innings at the Chinnaswamy Stadium, Kohli took the field by storm; he scored an unbeaten 108 runs off 58 balls, an innings that included seven sixes. Thanks to this century, he guided his team to a seven-wicket victory.
