The incident occurred when Salman, a right-handed batter, attempted to execute a sweep shot against Ravindra Jadeja's delivery. Unfortunately, the ball took an unexpected bounce, striking the top edge of his bat and hitting him squarely in the face, resulting in a visibly bloodied injury. As the Pakistan physio rushed onto the field to attend to Salman, KL Rahul, showing remarkable sportsmanship, was among the first players to check on his condition. Rahul's compassionate gesture quickly became a viral sensation on various social media platforms.

In the same match, Virat Kohli showcased his exceptional fitness by notching his 47th ODI century, while KL Rahul made a remarkable comeback with an equally impressive century. India dominated the rain-affected Super Four game of the Asia Cup, defeating Pakistan by a record-breaking margin of 228 runs. This victory marked India's largest win against their arch-rivals in terms of runs.

India set a formidable target of 356 for 2, with Kohli scoring an unbeaten 122 off 94 balls and Rahul contributing an unbeaten 111 off 106 balls, securing his sixth ODI century. Pakistan's batting lineup struggled against the Indian bowling attack, and they could only manage a total of 128 for 8, with Kuldeep Yadav taking 5 wickets for 25 runs.

In terms of ODI centuries, Kohli is now just two behind Sachin Tendulkar's record of 49. The partnership between Kohli and Rahul, amassing 233 runs for the unbeaten third wicket, became the highest ODI partnership for India against Pakistan.
