A dozen players were made available by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) before the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 auction. Since 2021, they have missed the playoffs.
Sunil Narine and Andre Russell, two West Indian players, being retained is the greatest news for KKR. The club administration decided to stick with Russell for another season even though he had a somewhat disappointing season at bat, scoring just 227 runs in 14 games. The previous season, Narine finished with 11 wickets from 14 games.
