RCB faced its fourth consecutive defeat in the 17th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Mumbai Indians (MI) achieved the target of 197 runs in 15.3 overs. The team achieved the target of more than 190 for the fourth time even before 17 overs, MI became the first team to do so.

Mumbai fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah took 5 wickets for just 21 runs. He became the first bowler to take 5 wickets against RCB. RCB's Glenn Maxwell could not even open his account, he became the player to be out on zero the maximum number of times in IPL, 17 times. And many new records have been made in this match.

1. Most 5 wickets in IPL

For the second time in IPL, Jasprit Bumrah took 5 wickets in the innings. Earlier in 2022, he had taken 5 wickets for just 10 runs against Kolkata. Bumrah became the first MI bowler to take 5+ wickets twice in IPL. Overall, he has become the fourth player to do so in IPL. Before him, James Faulkner, Jaydev Unadkat and Bhuvneshwar Kumar have done this.

2. Bowlers taking 4+ wickets haul

For the fourth time in IPL, Jasprit Bumrah took 4 or more wickets in an innings. In this case also he became the first bowler of MI. Altogether 4 Indian players have done this. Apart from Bumrah, Lakshmipati Balaji, Mohit Sharma and Bhuvneshwar Kumar have done this 4 times each.

3. Bowlers who took 5 wickets against RCB

Jasprit Bumrah took 5 wickets for 21 runs against RCB. He became the first bowler to take 5 wickets in an innings against RCB. He broke the record of Ashish Nehra, who took 4 wickets for 10 runs while playing for CSK in 2015.

4. Top wicket taker bowler against RCB

With taking 5 wickets, Jasprit Bumrah took 29 wickets against RCB. With this, he also became the bowler taking the most wickets against RCB in IPL. He left RR's Sandeep Sharma behind, who has 26 wickets to his name.

5. Most ducks in IPL

RCB Glenn Maxwell could not even open his account against MI, being out for a duck for the third time in the season. With this, he got out on zero 17 times in IPL, in this case he equaled Dinesh Karthik and Rohit Sharma. Both have the record of being out on zero 17-17 times. Maxwell is on top among foreign players, less than him Sunil Narine has been out on zero 15 times.

6. Most fifty in the match

At the Wankhede Stadium, 3 players from RCB and 2 from MI scored half-centuries, that is, a total of 5 half-centuries were scored in the match. This is the record of most half-centuries in an IPL match. Earlier in 2023, there were also 5 half-centuries in the match between RCB and LSG.
