The 15th match of IPL 2024 was played on Tuesday between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). Lucknow registered a resounding 28-run win at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. RCB, chasing the target of 182 runs, collapsed to 153 in 19.4 overs. RCB has lost three out of four matches. This was their second consecutive defeat on their home ground.

LSG has won the second consecutive match. Young fast bowler Mayank Yadav once again bowled brilliantly. He took three wickets for 14 runs in four overs. Naveen-ul-Haq took two wickets while Manimaran Siddharth, Yash Thakur and Marcus Stoinis took one wicket each. Two players of Bengaluru were run out in this match. 1. POTM Award in first two IPL matches on debut - Mayank Yadav

Mayank Yadav has impressed the entire world with his sensational performances in his debut IPL season. Mayank's pace has not only made him the fastest bowler of IPL 2024 (156.7 kmph), but most importantly, he has made his team win two consecutive matches. The 21-year-old recorded figures of 3/27 in LSG's previous match against Punjab Kings (PBKS) and continued his fine form by registering figures of 3/14 against RCB. Mayank won the Player of the Match award in both the matches. With this, he became the first player to receive two Player of the Match awards in his first two IPL matches.

2. Quinton de Kock completes 3,000 runs in IPL

Quinton de Kock played a brilliant innings for LSG and he kept one end in check by playing an innings of 81 runs. During his innings, the left-handed batsman achieved the feat of completing 3,000 runs in IPL history. De Kock has so far scored a total of 3,046 runs in 99 innings at an average of 32.75. By doing this, 31-year-old De Kock became the second-fastest South African player to achieve this feat after Faf du Plessis. He has scored 3,000 IPL runs in 94 innings.

3. First Indian player to play 100 T20s on one Stadium- Virat Kohli

RCB's legendary batsman Virat Kohli made another record as soon as he entered the field on Tuesday. Kohli's match against LSG at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium was his 100th T20 match at RCB's home ground. With this, Virat became the first Indian player to play 100 T20 matches on the same ground. Virat made his debut for RCB in 2008 and since then he has continuously scored runs playing on this ground.
