T20 World Cup Format: Top eight teams have directly qualified for T20 World Cup based on ranking. Reamings 8 teams will play in the qualifying stage. Four teams from the qualifying stage will advance to the next round and join the main teams. The group is divided into Groups A and B and five teams each are placed in both groups.
Each team will play against the other once in the group stage. The team that wins the most matches will advance to the semi-finals. Two teams from each group advance to the semi-finals. From there only two go to the finals.
