Sri Lanka has won the World Cup Qualifier 2023. The team beat the Netherlands by 128 runs in the final, however, Sri Lanka, the 1996 champions, had already secured a World Cup ticket. Mahish Teekshana was the hero of this victory. He took 3 wickets for 18 runs. Teekshana was the man of the match, while Sean Williams, who took 3 wickets with 600 runs, was the player of the tournament.
The Netherlands won the toss and put Sri Lanka into bat at the Harare Sports Complex on Sunday. Batting first after losing the toss, Sri Lanka scored 233 runs. Chasing a target of 234 runs, the Netherlands were reduced to 105 runs.
From here on, Kusal Mendis and Sahan Arachige handled the Sri Lankan innings. Both shared a 64-run partnership on 75 balls for the fourth wicket. Sahan Arachige top-scored with 57 and Kusal Medal scored 43 runs. Apart from these, Vanindu Hasaranga contributed 29 and Pathum Nissanka contributed 23 runs.
Van Beek, Ryan Klein, Vikramjeet Singh and Saqib Zulfikar took two wickets each for the Netherlands. Aryan Dutt got a breakthrough.

Mahish Teekshana took 4 wickets for 31 runs in 6.3 overs from Sri Lanka. Whereas Dilshan Madushanka took 3 wickets for 38 runs in 7 overs and Vanindu Hasaranga took 2 wickets for 35 runs in 7 overs.
