Five players who performed poorly in RCB

In the current season, RCB has faced its fourth defeat in five matches. Rajasthan Royals (RR) defeated RCB by six wickets in the match played at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur on Saturday (April 7) In this match, Virat Kohli performed brilliantly for RCB and played a century. If seen, Kohli has been the star performer of RCB so far this season. Kohli has scored 316 runs in 5 matches so far in IPL 2024. During this period his strike-rate was 146.29 and average was 105.33. Kohli has scored two half-centuries and one century in the current season and currently holds the Orange Cap.

VIRAT KOHLI

Apart from Virat Kohli, other players of RCB have not been able to do anything special this season. The same story was seen in all five matches. It is being said that Kohli batted slowly but if the other players do not get support then how will the team win. Apart from Kohli, the performance of any RCB player has not been satisfactory.

1. Glenn Maxwell

Glen Maxwell

Australian swashbuckler Glenn Maxwell has so far been able to score only 32 runs in five innings. During this period he could not even open his account on two occasions. Maxwell is expected to bat well, but he is struggling for one run at a time. However, Maxwell did wonders with the ball and took four wickets. Maxwell was retained by RCB for Rs 11 crore before IPL 2022.

2. Cameron Green

Cameron Green was a part of Mumbai Indians in the last IPL season. This season, RCB included him in their team through the trading window. RCB spent Rs 17.50 crore to bring Green, but the Australian all-rounder has been a flop so far. Green has scored only 68 runs in five innings. Talking about bowling, he has two wickets to his name.

3. Faf du Plessis

Faf du Plessis

The captain of a team plays an important role in its success. If the captain does not score runs from his bat or does not take wickets, then the tension of the team increases. Same is the situation with RCB also. Captain Faf du Plessis has not been able to show a strong game with the bat this season. Du Plessis has scored only 109 runs in five innings. Du Plessis definitely scored 44 runs against Rajasthan, but for this he played 33 balls. Du Plessis was bought by RCB for Rs 7 crore in the IPL 2022 auction.

4. Mohammad Siraj

Mohammed Siraj (RCB)

Fast bowler Mohammad Siraj is an important part of RCB's bowling. But no one would have even imagined the kind of bowling he has bowled so far. Siraj has taken four wickets in five matches. During this period, his economy rate has been 10.10, which shows how expensive he has proved to be. Before IPL 2022, Siraj was retained by RCB for Rs 7 crore.

5. Mayank Dagar

The performance of spinner Mayank Dagar has been very disappointing. Dagar has taken only one wicket in five matches. During this period his economy rate has been 10.14. It is the responsibility of the spinners to stop runs and take wickets in the middle overs. But Dagar is neither able to stop runs nor take wickets. Dagar was a part of Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) last season. RCB had added Dagar through the trading window for a price of Rs 1.80 crore.
