Delhi Capitals secured an important five-wicket victory to stay alive in the playoff race, while several star batters made significant moves in the IPL 2026 Orange Cap standings. The biggest gain came for KL Rahul, who climbed to fourth place after another match-winning performance.

KL Rahul Climbs Into Top Four

Delhi Capitals captain KL Rahul played a sensational knock of 56 runs off 42 balls during the chase of 194 runs. His composed innings helped DC cross the finish line and also boosted his tally to 533 runs this season.

Rahul now occupies the fourth spot in the Orange Cap standings with an outstanding strike rate of 171.93, making him one of the most dangerous batters of IPL 2026.

Sai Sudharsan Continues to Lead Orange Cap Race

Sai Sudharsan remains the holder of the Orange Cap with 554 runs from 13 innings for Gujarat Titans.

Right behind him is GT skipper Shubman Gill, who is only two runs away from taking the lead. Gill has accumulated 552 runs this season and continues to dominate alongside Sudharsan.

The competition at the top is extremely close, with just 12 runs separating the top three batters.

Virat Kohli Remains Strong Contender

Virat Kohli is placed third in the standings with 542 runs for Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

The RCB superstar has once again showcased remarkable consistency this season, maintaining an impressive average of 54.20 and a strike rate above 164.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi Impresses Despite Quiet Outing

Young Vaibhav Sooryavanshi continues to be one of the biggest discoveries of IPL 2026. Although he scored only 46 runs against DC, he remains sixth in the standings with 486 runs.

The Rajasthan Royals youngster also holds the highest strike rate among the top 10 batters at a staggering 234.78.
