The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced a 17-member squad for three-match ODI series against England. All the first-choice players will be back in the squad for the one-dayers as head coach Rahul Dravid and captain Rohit Sharma look to get their template right ahead of the ODI World Cup next year.
Arshdeep Singh, who was impressive during IPL 2022, has been called up to the ODI squad. He’s also part of the squad for the first T20I, which sees the entirety of the touring party that traveled to Ireland for the recently concluded two T20Is.
Rohit Sharma, who will miss the rescheduled Test against England due to COVID-19, will return to lead the side in the white-ball leg. Umran Malik, who made his international debut in the recently concluded series against Ireland, has retained his place in the squad. However, Arshdeep Singh has not been considered.

Meanwhile, Arshdeep Singh has got a maiden ODI call-up, however, he has not found a place in the squad for the last two T20Is of the series. The left-arm pacer is still waiting for his chance despite being in the squad since the South Africa T20Is at home. Umran Malik has been retained for the entire T20I series against England but hasn’t been picked in the ODI squad.
