Pulwama Attack: 14 February black day for India, the country lost 44 soldiers: 14 February 2019 proved to be a black day for the entire country. On this day, terrorists attacked a CRPF convoy with a car at Goripora near Awantipora on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway in Jammu and Kashmir.
Pulwama Attack 14 February 2024- 44 CRPF soldiers were martyred in this attack by Pakistani terrorists. This cowardly act of terrorists brought tears to the eyes of every Indian and this attack shook the entire country from within, but in revenge the Indian Army carried out a surgical strike on the hideouts of terrorists in Pakistan. This attack is also known as Pulwama Terror Attack.
The CRPF convoy included more than 60 vehicles and 2,547 soldiers were present in it. On 14 February 2019, when the CRPF convoy reached near Goripora in Awantipora on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists targeted a bus carrying CRPF jawans by ramming an explosive-laden car into it in Pulwama district.
Due to this, 44 soldiers were martyred in the massive blast. The explosion was so strong that even the bus was blown to pieces. Responsibility for this attack was taken by Pakistan's terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed.
India took revenge for the martyrdom of soldiers
After the Pulwama attack, the Indian Army and the Government of India together challenged the terrorists and the Prime Minister of the country Narendra Modi had said that I feel the same fire in my heart which is burning inside you. The PM had also said that everyone's tears would be avenged and after this, India avenged the martyrdom of the soldiers by carrying out an airstrike on the hideouts of terrorists in Pakistan within 12 days.
How did Pakistan attack India?
After the attack, late night on 25 February 2019, Mirage-2000 planes took off from Gwalior airbase and on 26 February 2019, Indian Air Force planes entered Balakot in Pakistan and targeted terrorist camps and hideouts. After this attack, Jaish-e-Mohammed organization was largely destroyed. About 300 terrorists were killed in this attack by India. This attack was named Balakot Strike.
The attack on Pakistan was named Balakot Airstrike.
During this attack, Indian MiG-21 Bison fighter plane also shot down Pakistani F-16 fighter jet. In this attack, Indian MiG-21 fighter plane was damaged in the Balakot airstrike and fell into Pakistani territory and Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman present in it was captured by the Pakistani Army.
Then Abhinandan Varthaman was released by Pakistan on March 1, 2019 and the Government of India honored Abhinandan Varthaman with 'Veer Chakra'.
