Kia India has launched 5 new variants in the Tech Line grade of the Seltos facelift. These include HTE, HTK, HTK+, HTX and HTX+ trims. All of them are equipped with diesel engine and 6-speed manual transmission. With this engine the car will get a certified mileage of 20.7kmpl. With the addition of the new trims, the Kia Seltos now has 24 variants.
The Korean company had launched the facelifted Seltos in the Indian market in July last year with a new look and updated features, but the company had removed the manual transmission option from the diesel engine. Now recently, after the launch of Hyundai Creta with diesel engine manual transmission, it has been introduced again.
The company has kept the starting price of diesel manual variants at Rs 12 lakh. Its top-spec trim is priced at Rs 18.28 lakh, which is slightly less than the top-spec Creta diesel-manual, which is priced at Rs 18.74 lakh.
Bookings for Seltos Diesel-MT have been started. Buyers can book the car online on the company's official website or offline from their nearest Kia dealership by paying a token money of Rs 25,000. Deliveries will start next month.
Kia Seltos price in India ranges between Rs 10.90 lakh to Rs 20.30 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). This compact SUV competes with Hyundai Creta, Maruti Grand Vitara, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, Honda Elevate, MG Astor and Citroen C3 Aircross.
7 single and 2 dual tone color options will be available with the car. In the mid-size SUV segment, it will compete with Maruti Grand Vitara, Hyundai Creta, Skoda Kushaq, Toyota Hyrider, Volkswagen Taigun, MG Astor and the upcoming Citroen C3 Aircross.
The new Seltos will come with panoramic sunroof with voice control, Advanced Driver Assistance System Level Two (ADAS-2) and more than 32 safety features. It includes 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, dual zone climate control, LED lights, power-adjusted ventilated seats, wireless charging, ambient lighting with LED sound mode lights, air purifier, 8-speaker premium Bose audio system, 8-inch head -up display, 360-degree camera, rain-sensing wipers, sequential LED turn indicators, electronic parking brake and more. The 2023 Kia Seltos facelift gets a 10.25-inch seamless dual display. It includes a touchscreen infotainment system and a fully digital TFT instrument cluster on the center console.
A lot of changes have been made in the Seltos facelift compared to the current model. It has redesigned LED headlamps, LED turn indicators and integrated LED DRLs in the tiger nose accent. The rear of the Seltos facelift has newly designed LED connected tail-lamps and dual exhausts. Apart from this, the top-spec variant of the new Seltos will get an electrically-powered tailgate.
Seltos now has 6 transmission options with three engines. It has a new 1.5 liter 4 cylinder turbo GDI petrol engine, which generates power of 160 PS and torque of 253 NM. Talking about transmission, the option of 6 speed iMT and 7 speed DCT is available with this engine.
A 1.5 liter 4 cylinder advanced Smartstream normal petrol engine is also provided with the car, which generates power of 115 PS and torque of 144 NM. This engine is tuned with two transmission options 6 speed manual (6MT) and IVT automatic gearbox.
Apart from this, the option of a 1.5 liter 4 cylinder refined CRDi VGT diesel engine has also been given. This engine generates power of 116 PS and torque of 250 NM. It is tuned with 6MT (new), 6iMT and 6AT gearboxes.
